What Snipe collects

Nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising identifier and no tracking of any kind. Snipe has no server, so there is nowhere for your data to be sent even if it wanted to.

Where your watchlist lives

On your own devices, as a plain JSON file you can read, and in your private iCloud database if you use more than one device. Apple provides that storage to you; it is not ours and we cannot see it. Deleting the app removes the local copy, and deleting Snipe’s data in your iCloud settings removes the synced one.

What Snipe talks to

Two things, and nothing else. It asks Apple’s public iTunes Search API what an app costs today, sending only the app identifiers you chose to watch and your storefront country. And it reads and writes your own private iCloud database to keep your devices in step. Apple’s handling of those requests is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

Children

Snipe collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date above changes with it. Since Snipe collects nothing, the only change that could matter is one that starts collecting something, and that would be said here in plain words before it happened.
